ROBERT JOHN GRAVES December 6, 1929 - December 9, 2009 On Wednesday, December 9, 2009 Bob passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer at the Grace Hospital at the age of 80 years. Remaining to forever cherish Bob's memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Pauline; daughter Laurine Shore (Peter); son Jim (Beverly); grandchildren Allyson Shore, Erin Shore, Christine Graves, Adam Graves; brother Thomas (Lorraine), sister May Craipley and their families, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives. Bob was born December 6, 1929, in Delisle, Saskatchewan and grew up on the family farm, moving to Moose Jaw in 1945 where he finished his education and started a career spanning 43 years with Canadian Pacific Railway. During his time with the railway he also held positions in Nelson, B.C., Montreal and Winnipeg, retiring here in 1991. He enjoyed golf, curling and pattern and old time dancing with a special group of friends. Bob also loved working around his home and yard and took special joy in helping neighbors and friends. In accordance with Bob's wishes no formal funeral service will be held. The family would like to thank Dr. George, the nursing and support staff at the Grace Hospital for their care, kindness and compassion.
