On Wednesday, December 9, 2009 after a lengthy battle with diabetes, Tony was relieved of his pain as he was taken home to be with our Saviour. Tony was born in Miglierina, Catanzaro, Italy in 1933. He immigrated to Canada in 1955. He met and then married his soul mate Diane in 1961. They had three children, Nancy (Brent), Karen (Jim), and Tony Jr. Tony also leaves his grandchildren, Doug (Renee), and Kara to continue his journey of love. Tony was predeceased by his mother Rosa and his father Gregorio Pallone. He leaves to mourn his brothers, Augustino (Virginia), Frank (Christina), Mario (Carol) and Lorenzo. Tony also had the joy of unclehood to many nieces and nephews. The highlight of Tony's career was his 39 years at CNR. He also enjoyed his passion of bricklaying. Tony loved gardening and remodelling. But of everything life had to offer, family devotion was Tony's mission. Tony had a spark which ignited everyone who appreciated him. His presence here will definitely be missed. But his fire rages on!!! The family extends their sincere thankfulness to the people in MICU at HSC who loved and cared for him with all their hearts during his last days! A celebration of Tony's life and passing will be held on Tuesday December 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations should be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association in memory of Antonio Pallone.
