THELMA THORBORG MATHIESON (nee BAILEY) December 27, 1919 - December 5, 2009 Peacefully, on Saturday, December 5, 2009 our Mother passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 89 years. Remaining to forever cherish Thelma's memory are her son Geordie (Allyson and her sons Collin and Tyler); grandsons Graeme (great-granddaughter Nya), Jen and Kairi and Jamie (Erin); son Kriss (Judy); grandsons Matthew and Patrick; grandsons Rob (great-granddaughter Alyssa) and Ron (great-grandson Chad); sisters Inga and Ethel; brothers Charlie and Gordon and their families as well as Darlene Mathieson (Alwyn). She was predeceased by her loving daughter Donna and sister Irene. Thelma loved sport. In her youth two of her favourites were baseball while employed with Eaton's and speed skating. In her later years she enjoyed bowling with great ladies at Rossmere Lanes. She was also proud of her Icelandic heritage. In keeping with Thelma's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Thank you to the nurses and staff at Riverview for the wonderful care you provided to our mother during her last days.
