Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELINE ANNE MOLDEN December 24, 1931 - November 29, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Addie, peacefully, in Victoria with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Dave in 1995. Also by her first husband Manfred Schnabel (Fred) in 1964, and by her parents Adam and Aniela Balajewicz, and their infant son Joseph. She is survived by her children, Beverly (Mark), granddaughters, Nicole, Alicia and Hailey; Karen (Jeff) and Kalyn and Amber; and son Leonard (Rubee). She is also survived by her sister Joanie (Mark), nephew Reid (Kerri) and little Jonathon; and nieces Keira (Pete); Mila (Jack) and baby Signe Scarlett. Addie spent her early years in Winnipeg, and was employed by D.O.T. She married Fred in 1958 and the following year their son Len was born. Fred died tragically at the D.E.W. line in 1964 when the tower he was working on collapsed. In 1965, Addie and Len sailed to Europe on the Carmania, and there she met Dave from Birmingham, England. They were married in March 1966, later moving to Victoria in 1967 to start a new life. They had two lovely daughters and made many friends. They enjoyed travelling and spending quality time together. Their many cruises included trips to the Amazon, Australia, the Galapagos Islands, Caribbean and Alaska. Unfortunately, Dave was not able enjoy their five beautiful granddaughters. Sadly, Dave passed away in 1995 and Addie continued on her own with great courage. She volunteered at St. Andrews soup kitchen as well as many other charities until her passing. Addie loved to dance and loved music, especially ABBA. She will always be remembered for her outgoing personality, kindness and generosity. She was always willing to help others. She touched the hearts of all those who crossed her path. She had a smile that would light up the room and made you feel warm and welcome. A celebration of her life was held at Sands Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 4, 2009. She was laid to rest with her beloved Dave at Hatley Memorial Gardens in Victoria. You are forever in our hearts dearest Addie. We will love you forever.
