RENE ARMAND DESROCHERS René Armand Desrochers, aged 93, originally of Mariapolis MB., passed away peacefully on December 11th, at home, as he always wished. René, son of Joe (Billy) Desrochers and Adélia Lagassé, was predeceased by his first wife of 41 years Annette (Morin) and his second wife of 21 years Regina (Lussier), his infant daughter Diane, his son Romain and daughter in law Cathy (Swainson), brother Aurel and sister Evelyne. He leaves to cherish his memory his children Denise Balcaen (Hubert), Léo (Lily), daughter in law Edna (Delichte), Donna Pittet (Roland), Janet Rondeau (Edgar), Briand (Pat O'Dell), 26 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren as well as the numerous children and grandchildren of his second spouse, Regina. He also bade farewell to two surviving sisters Elida Talbot and Antoinette Trudel and sister-in-law Lillian Delichte. He was a warm, generous and gracious man whose greatest pleasures came from gentle teasing and much enjoyed chuckles with whoever happened to be in his company at any given moment. Anyone who knew DAD (his many talents aside) will remember him that way, the greatest legacy he could leave. As would be his preference, a donation to a charity of your choice would be most kindred to his appreciation of life's realities. Prayer Service will take place on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 7:00 pm at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 15,2009 at 11:00 am at the St. Norbert Parish Church followed by a reception.
