Date of Passing: Dec 10, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION LUCK (nee OKRUSKO) It is with much sadness that the family of Marion Luck announces her passing on the morning of December 10, 2009 at Seven Oaks Hospital. She was approaching her 83rd birthday. Marion was predeceased by her parents, her brother Terry and her husband Ernest Rae (Ernie) Luck. Marion will be greatly missed by her daughters Bonnie and Leah, sons in law David and Kelly, grandchildren Madelynne, Todd and Shea and great grandchildren Azaileia and Ayden. Marion worked all of her adult life in a variety of capacities in both government and private industry. Her positions were often ones that challenged her intellect and rewarded her various skills. Much more important to her family were her thoughtfulness and generosity. She adored her grandchildren and, more recently, great grandchildren. Prior to her battle with dementia, no book, game or creative activity was too challenging to involve these five children in who were closest to her heart. Marion enjoyed all of her creative endeavours over the many years she was able. She knitted, painted and made the most amazing occasion crafts, most of which are precious gifts to her family. Marion was an avid reader with a keen interest in world issues and current affairs. In compliance with Marion's wishes, a cremation has taken place and there will not be a traditional funeral service. Flowers are gratefully declined. If extended family members or friends so wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation can be made in Marion's name. Mom, you have instilled in us all, the values of honesty, perseverance and diligence. You are forever in our hearts.
