Stella will be lovingly remembered by her children Henry, Barbara (Don), Bernard, Irene, George, Elizabeth (Don), Ted; grandchildren Lindsay (Marc), Jessica and Kendra; brothers Mike Kinal (Bernice) and Ted Kinal. She was predeceased by her husband Marek, sister Lucy and many relatives in Poland. Stella was born on August 27th, 1929 in Poznan, Poland, daughter of Peggy and John Kinal, sister to Lucy, Michael and Ted. After the Second World War ended Stella immigrated to Canada, where she met and married her husband Marek. Together they had seven children. For many years, she worked at St. Boniface hospital as an interpreter and then for Kern Hill Furniture and Canadian Bronze Co. Stella was known for her exceptional perogies and other traditional polish foods. She was an amazing baker and always ensured there were extras for her guests. Stella was very outgoing, enjoyed dancing, singing and going to the Windmill for breakfast. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff on the 4th floor at the Holy Family Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue on Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., with an interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
