GERRY LAVERGNE 1929 - 2009 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry Lavergne on Sunday, December 13, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Rita (née Dandenault); his children, Marc, Roxane, Liette (Lorne), Christian (Michelle); his seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Janelle, Alexa, Jared, Savane, Josée, and Riel; his two brothers, Germain and Martial, and his three sisters, Gilberte, Gisèle, and Diane. Gerry was predeceased by his siblings, Fernand, Yolande, and Bernard. Gerry was born in Saint-Pierre Jolys, MB. He attended Saint-Boniface College and earned his Bachelor of Arts. An avid sportsman, he excelled at hockey and played with numerous teams and leagues. Gerry was a loving, good family man with an outgoing personality. He had the spirit of an entrepreneur and formed his own company, Triple L Construction. Later he ventured in the fly-in fishing business known as Aikens Lake Lodge. In his retirement, Gerry greatly enjoyed golfing with his best friend, Peewee. Cremation has already taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 17, at Paroisse Des Saints Martyrs-Canadiens, 289 Dussault, Windsor Park. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall. Interment will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Dad, we all love you and we'll miss you dearly. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be So He closed His arms around you And whispered, Come to Me You didn't deserve what you went through So He took you Home to rest God's gardens must be beautiful For He only takes the best Rest in peace, Dad. Leclaire Brothers in charge of funeral arrangements. Telephone 775-2220
