EDWARD RYAN BRUCE It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ryan Bruce on Sunday, December 13, 2009 following complications of vascular surgery at St. Boniface Hospital. Ryan was born in Carman, MB, on February 11, 1957. Ry lived on the family farm in Miami, MB until he was 14. The family moved to Winnipeg where he resided for the remainder of his life. Ryan is predeceased by his parents Ted and Donna. He will be missed by his son Mike of Winnipeg, wife Terri from Winnipeg, sister Lynne (Chuck) of Mitchell, MB, nephew Dan (Dana) of Grande Prairie, AB, niece Tanis of Mitchell, MB, sister Glenda (John) of Victoria, BC and his dog Bowser. Ry Tex worked at Stella Produce where he had many friends. He also worked as a painter until his retirement. He then enjoyed backyard mechanics and was a skilled woodworking craftsman. Ryan encountered diabetes in his early childhood and lived with the many complications of that chronic illness. At Ryan's request his body has been donated to the University of Manitoba for medical research. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6 and are greatly appreciated. Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will occur at Miami Cemetery at a later date. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
