JOSEPH MASCIOLI On Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Victoria Hospital, Joe Mascioli passed away at the age of 85 years. Joe was predeceased by his father, mother, sisters Mary and Helen (Herb) Smith, and brother Al. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen and their three daughters: Jovanna (Bruce) LeCren, Audrey (Al) Wiebe, Coreen Henderson, 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He also leaves to mourn 3 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his sidekick Bernie. He served in the Navy during the Second World War from 1942 to 1945 as able Seaman and served in the Atlantic Theatre. Joe had his private pilot's license and enjoyed many years of flying. He worked for the Winnipeg Transit in various capacities for 34 years. His main love after Karen was buying and selling cars, which he did for over 60 years. Joe will be long remembered for his love of a good joke, good deal and desire for the latest gadget. In accordance with Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 19, at 3:00 p.m., Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special thank you to the staff of the 5th floor South at the Victoria General Hospital for their kindness and compassion for Joe. Flowers are gratefully declined.
