Mary met Allan in Pine Falls in early 1938. They married in November, 1938 and settled in Pine Falls where they raised their family. Nana's faith was strong and she was very active in the United Church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School and volunteering with the United Church Women. She was a Charter Member of the Pine Falls Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Coronation Rebecca Lodge, as well as many other community groups. In 1950, Mary and Allan found a lot at Betula Lake in the Whiteshell and proceeded to build their Cabin in the woods. It was a place where they spent many joyful times and made so many good friends. Nana was the instigator of many water fights and other goofy pranks which will provide her grandchildren and great grandchildren with happy memories for years to come. To our Sunnywood Family-there are no words to express our gratitude for your compassionate, patient and caring attitude towards Mary this past almost six years and most particularly this last three weeks. You are our angels and we love you all!
