Beloved wife of the late Harry Forgie, Mom to Joan Black (George), Herb Forgie (Denise), Doug Forgie (Debbie) and Allison Forgie-McClurg (Alex), Grandma to Jessica, Stephen, Katie, Keith, Michael, Samantha, Nicholas and Julie, great-grandmother to Emma, Ava, Keinan, Carter and Reese. Eva is survived by her brothers Fred and Bill Cave and sister Connie DeGagne; and predeceased by brother Robert Cave. Eva was born and raised in St. Boniface. She was an Eaton employee where she met the love of her life Harry. They raised their children on Chelsea Avenue in East Kildonan. She loved her gardening, neighbours, bowling, and was a founding member of the Chelsea Bridge Club. Mom was an active member in St. Stephen's Anglican Church. She had many life long friends who became our extended family. Mom always enjoyed her sports especially watching her sons playing hockey. Mom was well read and always kept her family involved in current affairs, which led to very interesting family discussions. Mom was always interested in her children's activities and continued to cherish and support her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom had an energy about her that was infectious and our home was a gathering place where everyone was welcomed. We will miss her sense of humour, caring, concern and her fighting spirit. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of the Concordia Place Nursing Home for their care and kindness to our Mom. A Celebration of Eva's life will be held on Friday, December 18 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave., Winnipeg MB. Flowers are gratefully declined; donations can be made to St. Stephen's Anglican Church or Concordia Place Nursing Home.
