Bill was predeceased by his father and mother, Clifford and Cecile, brothers Glen and Roland. Bill will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Sonja, brothers Donald and Paul, sister Glenda Merrick (Charles), nieces and nephews Robert (Heather), Kayla, Kristina, Danielle and Dezerie, mother-in-law Gisela Delfing, brother-in-law Wolfgang Delfing, Diana, Ron, Sandi and Laura Huynen and very special family friends, Bob, Heather, Candace, Louise and Brenden Lapointe, Kelsey MacBeth and Norm, Michelle, Chantal, and Daniel Lacroix. Married on June 10, 1995 to Sonja (nee Delfing) and resided in Ile des Chenes. Bill enjoyed life and love. His occupation as licensed auto mechanic was also his passion, everything from full car restorations to tinkering. Bill loved the outdoors, especially at the cottage where it was peaceful and relaxing. His main passion and love was always to be there for others providing a helping hand to all when needed. Bill had a heart of gold, placing everyone before him and never asking anything in return. Had always committed his life to others, one of his last blessings was to be an organ donor to help others in this world. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. The family would like to thank St. Boniface Hospital for their care and support and also the many friends and family that have been by our sides. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations are given to the Heart Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Diabetes Association. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
