LAKHA SINGH June 5, 1948 December 14, 2009 When a person come into this world his date of death is already fixed (Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji) It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend Lakha Singh. Lakha Singh was born in village Varioke, distt Moga, Punjab, India on June 5, 1948. He was the only child of the late Thaman Singh and Harnam Kaur. He immigrated to Canada in June 1972. He started his first job as a foundry worker in Bell Foundry and continued with various jobs until he became the owner/operator of a Duffy's Taxi. Left to cherish his memories are his mother Harnam Kaur, wife Beant Saran, son Bobby Saran (Charanjit), son Sukha Saran, daughter Kathy Gill (Iqbal), grandchildren, Ricki, Kevin, Robby and Sukhera. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivary Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Prayer Services held at Gurdwara Kalgidhar Darbar, 2762 King Edward St. at 5:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, the Dialysis Unit and to all family and friends for all their support through this difficult time. A special thank you to Mohinder Saran for love and support. Daddy we will always miss you, and remember your smile, that brightened our day.
