OLIVE SCAIFE-BUSKELL Peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 Olive, beloved wife of Walter Buskell, passed away at Donwood Manor at the age of 92. Olive will be lovingly remembered by husband Walter; sons Lloyd (Judy), Barry (Evelyn) and Raymond (Barb) along with eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Inga; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be fondly remembered by Walter's children and their families. Olive was predeceased by her loving parents Olof and Hallur Jonsson Hallsson; by her first husband, Thomas Sanderson (Sandy) Scaife; and also by her brothers Harold, John, Eddie and Mike; and by her sisters Jensina and Runa. In addition Olive was predeceased by her step-sisters Jonina and Sigfidur as well as her half-brothers Eirikur and Gudjon. Olive was born in Lundar, Manitoba on February 16, 1917. She grew up on the family farm where she lived until she married Sandy and moved to Warren, Manitoba where they raised their three sons. After moving to Winnipeg Sandy passed away, and Olive met and married Walter Buskell. Olive accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal saviour, and she and Walter faithfully served the Lord together at Faith Baptist Church for many years. The family would like to thank the staff at Donwood Manor for their exceptional care of Olive during her time there. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 386 McGregor Street at Mountain Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Donwood Manor Foundation, 171 Donwood Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R2G 0V9 MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
