ANTON (TONY) LUCHIK November 22, 1924 - December 17, 2009 Peacefully, with his family at his side Anton passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 85. Anton was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Pauline; brother Nick (Winnie); and his beloved daughter Patrice Elaine Schulz. Tony will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 59 years Alice; son Richard (Susan); grandchildren, Ashley, Taralyn (Chad), Sherry (Jonathan), Ryan (Sara); Great-grandchildren, Caleb, Carter, and Jayden. Anton will also be remembered by his son-in-law Peter (Sharon) with Erin and Jamie. He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Anton was born and raised in Winnipeg, after a short stint in the air force he attended the University of Manitoba where he graduated as a mechanical engineer. After graduating his first employment was working on the Avro Aero project in Toronto following which he worked for Imperial Oil. Tony and Alice came to back to Winnipeg and he worked for Honeywell Controls until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of Adanac Carving Club and the Rock and Gem Jewelry club. Tony had a passion for golf, he golfed with his buddies for over 20 years. Tony was always there for his family with a helping hand or a listening ear and he will be missed by everyone. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The St. Boniface General Hospital Foundation Research Foundation Office, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2A6. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with an interment and reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
