Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD DETTMAN Peacefully at Riverview Health Centre on the morning of December 17, 2009, Gerald passed away at the age of 77 years. He was predeceased by his parents Roland and Laura. Gerald is survived by his sister Eunice; brothers Owen (Betty) and Hugo (Coralie); sons Fred (Geri), Martin (Nancy) and Herman (Penny); as well as many grandchildren. He will also be remembered by his good friend Elma. Gerald was born on October 16, 1932, at the Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He worked for Canada Post for 37 years, starting in December of 1956 and retiring in January of 1993. He was a member of the Antique Car Club for many years and enjoyed restoring antique cars up until his health declined. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Stonewall Cemetery located a half mile east of Stonewall on Hwy. #67. We would sincerely like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit for the care and patience they provided.
