October 31st, 1944) departed this world December 13, 2009 on her way to her next great adventure. With few regrets and a good life lived, Mildred is survived by her spouse of 38 years less 10 days, Armin Wiebe, of Winnipeg, and her family of Yellowknife, Sara Jane (Jenny) Jackson Wiebe, Allen Jackson, and very special granddaughter, Emily Madison Jackson Wiebe. Predeceased by her parents, Peter and Lillian, father-in-law, David, and daughter, Anne-Gretchen Wiebe, Mildred is survived also by her stepdad, Eddie Keller, of Russell, her aunt, Olga Kowalchuk, and cousins, Shelley and Michelle, and their families, mother-in-law, Dorothy Wiebe, and Armin's sisters, Ruth Jeffrey, Evril Hagenlocher, and Noella Hanan, and their families, all of Winnipeg. Mildred wishes to acknowledge all her former students and daycare children and their families, her newspaper and Between the Pages customers, as well as a number of very good friends and acquaintances and her many cousins and the surviving aunties in the Parobec family: Vera, Caroline, Helen, Ann, Mabel, Elsie, and Louise. In lieu of a memorial, those who wish could read a good book by which to remember Mildred, or take a walk on the beach or in the park, try to walk their cats on a leash, and in any way treasure their families and friends by doing something special with them.
