CHUN YEN WOO It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of our Beloved Mother and Grandmother, Chun Yen Woo on Monday, December 21, 2009. Born in China on March 24, 1924. She immigrated to Canada in December 1955 with her husband, Shing Lun Woo residing in Brandon, MB for six years before settling in Winnipeg. Chun is survived by her two daughters, Lillian Young (Chung Young) and Judy Tymkin (Robin Tymkin). She was predeceased by her husband Shing Lun Woo and her son, Duke Woo. It is a comfort to her family that she is now reunited with her son Duke. She worked hard and made sacrifices for many years as a seamstress to put her children through higher education, before retiring in 1984. Her greatest love and joy were her grandchildren, Jennifer Woo, Brett and Brandon Young, Zach and Aimee Tymkin. Mom was very active in her church group where she shared many moments with all of her friends. A celebration of Mom's life will take place on Wednesday, December 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Winnipeg Chinese United Church, 281 Pacific Avenue. A private family interment will take place. Memorial donations may be made to Winnipeg Chinese United Church, in lieu of flowers. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
