FLORENCE IRENE GLADUE (nee DELORME) Peacefully, on December 21, 2009, Florence Irene Gladue passed away at the age of 83. Florence, beloved, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt. She is survived by her children, Eileen Dupis, Brenda (Robert) Jickling, Peter Gladue, Laurie Gladu, Florence Gladue, Marcel Gladue, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Margret (George), Garnham, Freda (Lollie) Morrison and brother, Joe Delorme. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter Gladue, daughter Vivian Emms, parents Albert and Alice Delorme, brothers Frankie, Albert, Alex and sisters, Melda, Alice, Doreen and Irene. Florence Delorme was born on July 17, 1926 in Treherne, MB; she was one of the 11 children, she grew up quickly by helping raise her brothers and sisters. In 1944, Florence married the love of her life, Peter Gladue. Together they raised seven children. She will be sadly missed and those who were privileged enough to enjoy her company in her warm little kitchen will never forget her. This devotion to her family continued to the end of her life and is her everlasting legacy. Even though it is difficult to accept that you are gone, we understand and find comfort in knowing that you will always watch out for your own. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Fallon Gladu, Kevin Gladue, Cecil Emms, Allisyn Gladu, Rob Gladue, Dale Emms. Honorary Pallbearers are Jason and Nazzara Gladu. Prayers will be held on December 27, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Christ the King Parish on 847 St. Mary's Road in St. Vital. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2009 at Christ the King Parish. Immediately following the service, she will be put to rest along side our Dad at Green Acres Cemetery. The family invites you to join them.
