Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERNA MEULENKAMP Peacefully, on December 22, 2009, at the age of 86, Verna Meulenkamp passed away after a long and active life. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Kris, her seven children: Sylvia (Les), Jane (Roel), George (Merle), Mildred (Ed), Dave (Liz), Rick, and Tim (Colleen). She was a loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Verna came from a large group of siblings and shared many happy times with them even into her later years. Her large family was only matched by her big heart. Her friends, neighbours and church became another family who also loved and respected her for her kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help. She was predeceased by her first husband Paul Paulusma, as well as countless siblings, friends and relatives. Verna travelled the world but her favourite trips were to visit her family. Her final journey will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Friends Funeral Home, 2146 Main St. In lieu of flowers, kindly donate to a charity of your choice.
