THOMAS EDWARD SMITH Thomas Edward Smith, born on January 5, 1912, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 22, 2009 at the age of 97 years. Tommy was predeceased by his beloved wife Ethel in 2003. Left to cherish his memory and mourn his passing are his children Doris, Roy and Lila (England), Pauline (England) and Valerie and Ed. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Linda and Rick, Gary and Tannis, Dianne and Jacob, Debra, Graham and Carol (England), Vivienne and Joe (England), Karen (England), Carolyn and Derek (England), Julie (England), Andrew and Jackie and Carrie and Brad, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also mourning his passing is his brother Charles and his sister Minnie and numerous nieces and nephews in England. Now you're with Ethel and your Lord Dad, you've been praying so hard to be with them. Night Night and God Bless Grandad. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
