JACOB P. FRIESEN January 4, 1930 - December 21, 2009 After a long battle with Parkinson's Disease, Jake passed away peacefully with family at his side. We cherish memories of his love of family, people, farming, and the operation of Friesen Seeds. However his true legacy remains in the steadfast faith he held in our God and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Florence Friesen, six children and their families. He is also survived by four brothers, five sisters and their families. A family interment service was held on December 24 at the Rosenort Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on December 29, at 10:30 a.m., at the Rosenort EMC Church, two miles south of Rosenort. The family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff at Red River Valley Lodge for their compassionate care over the past three years, as well as to Dr. Kliewer and Dr. Hobson for their medical care over the past years.
