MARY DOLCHUK (nee SPELCHUK) Gently and peacefully, late on the evening of December 22, 2009, Mary passed away at Holy Family Home in Winnipeg, with her daughter by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Doreen Marie Thorlacius and son-in- law Ernest Bergbusch; grandson Anthony Eric Thorlacius; granddaughter Laurel Sigurveig Thorlacius, and her great-granddaughters Elise and Thalia Thorlacius. Mary married Anthony (Tony) Dolchuk in 1934 and she lived in the house they built on Harbison Avenue for more than 62 years. Tony predeceased her in 1977. She was also predeceased by her parents, sisters Anne and Pauline, brothers Tony, Bill, Joseph and Nick, and by son-in-law Sigurberg Ormar Thorlacius. Mary devoted herself to her home and her family. In her later years, she particularly enjoyed her yard and garden, and those who stopped to admire her flowers. The family extends special thanks to the staff of Holy Family Home who cared for Mary so kindly and so well for the past six years. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009, 10:30 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to Holy Family Home or the charity of your choice.
