GLADYS VIOLA (GOWLER) VOIGT Gladys Voigt, born October 5, 1913, was admitted to the Dauphin Hospital December 11, 2009. As I sat at my grandmother's bedside listening to her talk to one of her oldest and dearest friend Doreen I heard her ask How long will it be until I will be free? Gladys (Glady) was freed on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 4:15 p.m. She lived a long, healthy and Christian life until her passing. She had lived in her own apartment after her loving husband passed away. She was a very strong person, she was never sick or hospitalized. During her life she enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, square dancing, visiting with great friends and especially playing the piano. Her hands would make such beautiful music as she played for different gatherings, at the Church, at dances, at grandchildren's weddings or just for herself. She was the last survivor of both her family and her husband's. She was a very strong person, kind, considerate, understanding and loving. She had a great sense of humour, laughter kept her going. She would always say you need at least one good laugh a day and a double double from Tim Hortons. She was predeceased by her loving husband Clarence, her sons Ronald and Danny, parents Sidney and Margaret Gowler, her husband's parents Fred and Mary-Ann Voigt, brother Wesley and sisters-in-law Lillian (Gowler), Nellie (Ron King), Ruth (Charles Baudin), grandson Jim Voigt. Left with her memories are her daughter Beverly and son-in-law Del Sisson of Winnipeg, daughter-in-law Freda Voigt of Winnipegosis, her grandchildren: Susan and Barry Moshenko and their children Joey, (Bobbi), Calvin, (Brandi), Jason, Justin and Timothy; David and Carol Voigt and their children Ryan and Danny; Jim's children Trevor, Ashely and Bobbi-Marie Voigt; Robert and Cheryl Voigt and their children Randi, (Albert), Kaysi, Rikki, (Scott), Zach and Cloey; Sharon Sisson and her girls, Christine, Denise, Geraldine and Kimberly; Vern and Dawn Sisson and their children, Amy, Scott, Sara, Eric and Andrew; great-great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Colton, Kristen, Samantha and Keagan, Nevaeh and Savanah. Her godson Tim Inkster and her good friends Doreen Inkster and Loreath Watkinson. Donations in memory of Glady may be made to a charity of your choice. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements. A graveside funeral service will be held at a later date. We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.
