Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTherese Desrosiers (nee Decelles) July 5, 1922 - December 24, 2009 Peacefully on December 24, 2009 at Tache Centre, Therese Desrosiers passed away with family at her bedside. Therese was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Antonio (1977) and a two year old son, Gerard (1960), brothers, Joseph, Edgar, Florent, sisters, Solange Normandeau and Alleluia Cote. Mom will be dearly missed by daughters Marcelline (Leopold Sabourin), Simonne Doell (Al); sons Paul Desrosiers (Linda), Victor Desrosiers (Linda), brother Emilien, sisters Marie Louise Boily and Olive Decelles and sisters-in-law Laurence Decelles, Berthe Marshall and Yvonne Morin. Mom was born in St. Marthe SK, her love of people guided her towards nursing and that is how she met Tony. Together they started raising a family in Grayson, SK, in 1959 they, along with their three children, moved to Fort Alexander MB. One year later after having made numerous friends, our family moved to Powerview and that is where Victor and Gerard were born. This was where Mom made life comfortable for her family. She provided through meager times and she was always willing to share whatever she had. She protected her children while fully understanding that they required freedom to explore the world. Although Mom's nursing career was brief, she fulfilled a second career at the Pine Falls Hospital where she became proficient in food preparation. From that perspective she contributed to her community. In 2001 Mom moved to Winnipeg so that she could be closer to family. Due to health reasons she was required to eventually move to Centre Tache. Her greatest accomplishment is having raised four children that lovingly cared for her. The additional seven grandchildren made life worthwhile for her. Although faced with her own challenges Mom was always concerned about the well-being of others. Knitting, bingo playing and staying abreast of current affairs were some of Mom's interests, but her greatest concern was focused on her family. Maman tu nous as montrer le courage jusqua la fin. The family thanks the staff at the Tache Centre and the St. Boniface Hospital for their loving care to Mom. A celebration of Mom's life will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave., West at 2:00 p.m. Funeral Arrangements In Care Of: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVENUE (AT BOND) 224-1525
