HELEN MARY JEEVES (nee McLachlan) October 18, 1932 December 22, 2009 Helen Jeeves, beloved wife of David Jeeves of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the age of 77 years. Helen was born and raised in Winnipeg where she lived until 1971. She moved to Calgary with her family and embarked on a wonderful career at the Palliser Hotel as executive secretary to the general manager. At the Palliser she made many friends and retired after 25 happy years. Helen loved Stampede Week and she took special pride in helping to organize the Palliser's annual Old Time Range Men's Dinner. Helen was kind and fun-loving and had a wonderful smile that lit up any room she entered. She enjoyed her family and friends and loved to laugh. She had flair and a great sense of style. Besides her loving husband David of 39 years, she leaves to grieve her daughters, Barbara (Brian), Sandra (Randal), and Marjorie (Bill). She will also be missed by her sister Yvonne Worden and brother Malcolm McLachlan, along with numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister Jean Bryant; parents, Jean and Harry McLachlan; and her first husband Lorne Deacon. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E. Calgary) on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
