Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA GERTRUDE MCMAHON It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Edna Gertrude McMahon (nee Sparvath) on December 24, 2009 at Teulon Memorial Hospital. Born March 31, 1921, she died at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her husband John (July 18, 1978), her daughter Valerie (May 28, 1952), her son Jim (July 12, 1995), grand-daughter Shari (October 25, 2004) and infant great-granddaughter Selena (October 27, 2004), and four sisters (Beatrice, Leona, Doreen, and Violet). Left to mourn are daughters Evelyn Smaldon (Harold), Mickie Nelson (Roy), Velma Heinrichs, son Randy McMahon (Karen) and daughter-in-law Daisy Krychuk (Chris); ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren: as well as three sisters, Rhoda Kunzelman (Russell), Irene Corrigal, Rosemary Hodge (Lyle) and many many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall, MB. Special thanks to Dr. Rizk and the staff at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital as well as Lois and all the home care staff. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.

Edna McMahon to me I called her grandma She was the closest person to me. One of the most kind and gentle humans I’ve ever met. She was the person I learned all my good habits from. It didn’t matter what came across her plate, she always had the right answers. I lived with her in stonewall most of my childhood. It was some of the happiest moments in my life.
