VERN GROSSMUELLER April 19, 1936 - December 25, 2009 Vern passed away peacefully on December 25 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife Fay in June, 2008. He leaves to mourn his three children Ron, Chris (Brenda), Karen (Todd) and his three grandsons, Derek, Ryan and Aaron, and his many friends, co-workers and neighbours. Vern was born in Germany and came to Canada with his family in 1953. He married Fay in 1959 and together they raised their family on Martin Avenue where they lived for 36 years. He was a master carpenter his entire life and took pride in the quality of his work. He found true pleasure and expression in the artwork he created out of wood. Special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Grace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
