DOROTHY GAGNON (nee SCHOFIELD) October 22, 1919 - December 27, 2009 Peacefully at the Stonewall Hospital, Dorothy Gagnon, aged 90 years, a lifelong resident of Petersfield, MB, passed away. She will be lovingly remembered by sons Charles and Robert, longtime companion Donovan, a sister Lena and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Walter and Mimi Schofield, son Walter, husband Augustin (Gus), brothers Charlie, Chester, Bobbie and David and sister Freda. Dorothy enjoyed her home and garden, and her cats. Many enjoyed her good nature as a taxi driver in Selkirk. After retiring she traveled many miles camping and fishing with her good friend, Donovan. She was very musical and played the harmonica entertaining at seniors homes throughout the Interlake. Family would like to thank the Stonewall Hospital nursing staff and a special thank-you to Selkirk Home Care. No formal service will be held at this time, immediate family will have a service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
