Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE LEO PAUL GAUTHIER July 3, 1947 - December 19, 2009 On December 19, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer, George passed away at the age of 62. George will be lovingly remembered by his mother Mae Gauthier, two brothers: Lawrence (Lorraine), Gerald (Jo Anne), two sisters: Emily (Guy) Paille, Elaine (Chris) Kirkness, two sons: Claude (Michelle), Gilles (Jaclyn), two daughters: Angele (Fern) Comeau, Lise (Gary) Ellis, his 13 grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Leo, his brother Gilbert, his sister Alice Valliere, his grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins. George was born in St. Genevieve, MB on July 3, 1947. He spent most of his career being self employed doing home renovations. George enjoyed the simple life of hunting and fishing with family and good friends. He spent many summers playing baseball and played for many years. He always enjoyed having a good time and loved to dance. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. A. A. Bissonnette and staff at the Ste. Anne Hospital for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ste. Anne's Church with Father Chartier officiating. A reception will follow at the Ross Community Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Cancer Foundation of your choice or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in George's memory.
