Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILMA ISOBEL LAW (nee Booty) Peacefully, with family at her side, Wilma (Willie) Law passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the age of 81 years. Willie was predeceased by Ted, her loving husband of 54 years, in January 2007. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gil (Sue); Bruce (Kelley) and Chris, Cami, Madi; Craig (Gail) and Mitchell, Carson, Landon; Susan (Spencer) Smith and Garrett, Katie, Regan and Karen (Will) Nissen and Carli, Jessie. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Marjorie (John) Milks and her sisters-in-law Pat Krutzen and Jean Booty, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many other dear friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her parents William and Elizabeth and her brother Harry. Willie was born in Guelph, Ontario on October 31, 1928. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1951. She met the love of her life Ted Law, at Devils Gap Lodge and they married on July 12, 1952. Willie loved life and she really lived life! For more than 25 years she tirelessly volunteered countless hours of her time to the St. Agnes Guild at Children's Hospital. In the early 1970s as a coach to her young daughters, Willie helped pioneer the sport of ringette in the Wildwood Park area of Fort Garry. She enjoyed many social excursions with the Up the River Gang , and loved to entertain friends and family at the cottage on Falcon Lake and at the family's long time home on South Drive. Willie was a wonderful gardener, a brilliant puzzle solver, and an avid sports fan, especially when her grandchildren were involved. Her quick wit, great sense of humour, and engaging smile will be missed. At Willie's request there will be no service. Donations may be made in Willie's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3G 9Z9 or the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Winnipeg Chapter, Box 21008, 33-3900 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, R3R 3R2 or a charity of your choice. She stood in the shadows so others could shine. She loved a lot in her time. George Jones
