ALMA LUCY GAUTHIER (nee BRIERE) 1928 - 2009 On December 26, 2009 just moments after Christmas Day was done, our prayers were answered; Mom fell asleep in our loving arms before waking up in Gods. She now dances in Heaven with Dad (Bernard Gauthier) who has been waiting for her since January 26, 1991, along with her parents Jean Baptiste Briere and Antoinette (nee Vachon), her sister Anna Richard, and numerous in-laws, family and friends. Left to forever cherish her love and the memories of her life are her daughter and son, Diane and Rene. Her grandchildren: Luc, Lindy, Jesse, Ainslie, Rene Jr., Sunny, and great-grandchildren Kaden and Connor, who were all so very dear to her. She also had special bonds with Charles and Bobby Brown. Mom also leaves behind her sisters, whose love and support was a gift to Mom: Therese Hamon, Rita LeGault, Claire Briere, Bertha LaFleche, Sister Lorette Briere, and Aline (Louis) LaFleche. Her sisters-in-law: Jeanne Ross, Anita Girard and Irene (Luciene) Lambert, along with her many nieces and nephews. We are reminded by Little Kaden whose prayer helped carry Memere to heaven, and who said to us DON'T BE SAD BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT SHE IS FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS . An evening of prayers and reflection will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30 at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31 at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church at 271 Hampton Street. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in Alma's memory. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and support during her illness. God bless all those for their many prayers.
