JOHN ALLEN NIZIOL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, John Allen Niziol, December 27, 2009. He will be fondly remembered, and missed by his children, Margeaux (John), and Johnathan and their mom, Noella. His memory will be cherished by his siblings Diane, Ken (Tannis), Linda (Grant), June, Jim, Tammy, and Gwen, as well as many nieces and nephews and close friends. He was predeceased by his beloved brother Raymond, and his parents John and Annie (Smela) Niziol. Dad was born in Winnipeg on June 7, 1950. He grew up in St. Norbert, Manitoba as a farm boy. He graduated in 1967 from St. Norbert Collegiate. John started working at St. Boniface General Hospital at the young age of 17 and had a long career as a Cardiovascular Technologist until he retired at age 57. He loved his work, and was very proud of his professional accomplishments. He was well respected in his area of expertise and his peers will fondly remember him. Although Dad worked hard, most of his time was devoted to his family. He spent many hours playing with and teaching his children. Dad was an expert in most everything, from horticulture to sports, and was more than willing to share his knowledge with his kids. He spent countless summers outdoors, waterskiing, fishing and trimming the trees. He was an excellent coach and a constant support through all our endeavors. But Dad's true love was golf. He was happiest when he was out on the course for an early round of golf with the boys , by whom he will be sorely missed. Dad will be remembered for his sense of humour, his generosity and his strong work ethic. He gave 100% to everyone he knew and to everything he did. We love you Dad, and will miss you everyday. We will remember all of the wonderful ways you touched our lives. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever. We have been blessed to have you as a father. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to donate may do so to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation in his name. www.saintboniface.ca.
