GENE RAYMOND ANDERSON July 10, 1946 - December 26, 2009 We sadly announce the passing of Gene Anderson. He passed away suddenly leaving behind his mother Joan Anderson, wife Donna, daughters Dawn and Wendy, three grand-children Lexus, Lauren and Ben Anderson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gene was predeceased by his father Raymond Anderson, brothers Kirk and Richard, including his only son Brad and now share a comfort in death that few of them were granted in life. Gene was employed at Canada Post Corporation where he carried out his duties meticulously and earnestly for over 20 years. He spoke highly of many people throughout the organization and was very involved with the Union. Each Friday evening he could be found at Fort Rouge Legion playing pool and socializing with a great variety of friends. He was known for his efforts to bring public awareness to many forms of injustice. He wished to be an organ donor and even in death he chose to help others. Special thanks to the paramedics, Winnipeg Police Service, Winnipeg Fire Department and Health Sciences Centre. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
