CODY JUSTIN PETER STARR August 20, 1986 - January 1, 2010 Tragically on January 1, 2010 Cody Justin Peter Starr, aged 23 years, was taken from us and went home to be with his creator. He leaves behind his baby girl Klaudia; common law wife Claudia; and stepchildren, Keegan, Kimbel and Chantel. He is also survived by his mother Evelyn Ross (Carl); father Jeffrey Smith; dad Russell Starr; sisters, Rhonda, Shannon and Carmen; brothers, Geoffrey and Vernon; nephews, Eric, RJ, JD, Joshua and Kaden; his niece Kali; grandparents, Beverly and Peter Smith, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; best friend Joseph Smith and many other friends through his artist community and throughout his life. Cody is predeceased by his two infant girls and one infant son. Cody was a proud, loving and caring father to his young daughter. He was an amazing artist and his artwork and murals throughout Winnipeg were his creative pride shining through. His laughter was contagious, his smile was beautiful. He was a friend to everyone he met, through his travels. He encouraged his nephews to draw and be creative. He was never afraid to try something new. We love you and miss you with all our hearts. Pallbearers will be Eric Starr, RJ Starr, JD Starr, Joseph Smith, Jeremy Bird, Adrian Choken, Aaron Bird and Charles Abraham. Honorary pallbearers will be Geoffrey, Vernon, Joshua and Kaden, as well as all his friends. Wake service began on Saturday, January 2 at Cody's home in Black River.
