GEORGE SCRIMSHAW George Scrimshaw suddenly passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital on December 27, 2009 at the age of 68. George was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary; parents, Herbert and Louise Scrimshaw; brothers, Burt, Tom, Charles, Alfred, Douglas and sister, Rose. Left to survive George are his brother, Ron Scrimshaw of Minneapolis, MN; sisters, Isabell (Walter) Bell of British Columbia, Irene Taylor, Mable Scrimshaw, Ann Scrimshaw, all of Winnipeg and Dorothy (Charles) Holter of Fargo, ND. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. George was born in Winnipeg in 1941. He lived on the farm in Woodlands, MB and later moved to Brooklands, Narcisse and finally in Winnipeg since 1958. He married Mary Mendrun June 26, 1965 and worked at Empire Sheet Metal until his retirement. George loved gardening, lawn care and snow removal. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 6 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
