EDMOND HENRI JEAN PILLOUD September 24, 1933 - January 2, 2010 On Saturday, January 2, 2010 after a long courageous battle with cancer, Edmond passed away in his home at the age of 76. Edmond will sadly be missed by his wife of 50 years, Margaret (nee Saunders); daughter Monique (Sean) Crossland; grandaughter Ashley, grandson Logan; son Edmond (Claire); grandsons Liam and Thomas of Burlington, Ontario; sister Odile (Gerry) Plamondon; brother Auguste (Jan) of Antioch, California; many nieces, nephews and friends. Edmond is predeceased by his son Terry; parents Lucie and Louis of St. Claude, MB; sisters Agnes and Irene of Vancouver, BC; long time friend Henry Bousquet. Edmond was born in St. Claude, MB and moved to Winnipeg with his family at the age of 12. At the age of 16 he began working at Standard Produce, where he met his wife's family. He later worked for BACM formerly Simkins, he found his niche in construction work. He worked for the City of Winnipeg taking early retirement in 1993. After retirement he worked with our life long friends at Buus Construction seasonally for five years, which he thoroughly enjoyed. In his early years Edmond enjoyed spending time with family and friends in the Whiteshell, and tending to his garden in North Kildonan. Edmond never forgot his roots and always talked about St. Claude, MB, and dearly loved his aunts, uncles and cousins. Respecting Edmond's wishes there will be no formal service. A private interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date. Thank you to Dr. Chowdhury (oncologist), Linda Davidson (nurse), Dr. B.
