DMYTRO (MATT) WARUN 1922 - 2010 Dmytro Warun, age 87 years passed away peacefully on January 1, 2010 at St. Boniface Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Annette; his sisters Iris and Olga (August); brothers Paul and Ron and many nieces and nephews. Dmytro was predeceased by his parents Izydor and Nettie Warun, brother-in-law Eugene and sister-in-law Sandra. Dmytro was born in the town of Sundown, Manitoba on November 5, 1922. Dmytro lived there with his family helping on the farm and attending school until he joined the military in 1943 and served in the Canadian Provost Corps. After serving in the military he worked as a foreman at the Ogilvie Flour Mills in Winnipeg for 38 years until his retirement. In 1945 he met and married the love of his life, Annette Fedirchuk spending many happy years together. They celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 23, 2009. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital, 5th Floor, Ward B for all their care and support. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Rev. Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
