MARY FROESE July 14, 1920 - January 3, 2010 Mrs. Mary Froese (nee Peters) of Winkler, Manitoba went to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 3, 2010, at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her husband, former M.L.A., Jacob. M. Froese. Mary Froese was a devoted mother to her seven daughters and three sons and their families: Mary (Jack Siemens), Margaret (Melvin Klassen), Judith (Harry Siemens), Esther Anne (Terrance Klassen), Susan (Ben Dueck), Cathrine (Stephen Klassen), Jack F. Froese (Dianne), Netha (Henry Dyck), John C. Froese (Lottie), and Alan Froese (Sandy), 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Of her three brothers and three sisters, Ida (Jacob Goertzen), Tina (Peter Derksen), and Henry (Helen) predeceased her. Remaining are Nettie (John C. Wiens), Frank (Edna), and John (Dorothy). Funeral services will be held at the Mennonite Brethren Church, 120 Pineview Drive, in Winkler on Saturday, January 9 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Reinfeld Cemetery following the service. Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home, 121 8th St., in Winkler on Thursday, January 7 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 8 from 1:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m., and at the church before the service. A devotional service will take place on January 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary Froese will be remembered for her generosity, her caring nature, her perseverance, and her encouraging spirit.
