CORAZON E. SAN MIGUEL (CASTRO) February 4, 1947 - January 6, 2010 Peacefully with family and friends by her side, Corazon passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on January 6, 2010, at the age of 62 years. Corazon was predeceased by her father, Eliseo San Miguel, her mother Consolacion San Miguel and her sister Linda Depatillo. She will be deeply missed by her only daughter Anna Marie Castro; her brothers, Rogelio (Lily), Ricardo (Flor), Leopoldo (Erlinda), Conrado (Aida), Noel (Rose), Jhun (Lina), Albert (Debbie) and Romeo (Bessie); her sister Julieta (Wilson); nieces and nephews, Reden (Jeanne), Jojo (Jerilyn), Michael (Melma), Hazel (Aiven), Sarah Jane (Jon), Lord (Yuen), Chris, Ryan (Joycee), Jenny (Carol), Richel (Celso), Sheryl, Rosel, Jasmine, Vincent, Jon, Darlene (Jason), Leilani, Eric, Analyn, Hazel, Jocelyn, Romelyn, Christian, Joshua (Myra), Marlon, Rowena, Jenny, grand-nieces and nephews, and numerous relatives from across Canada, the US and the Philippines. She was born on February 4, 1947 in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. Cora arrived in Canada with her friends of the Garment Workers of 1968-1969 in 1968. She worked at Deer Lodge Centre for over 30 years and made many lifelong friendships. She started AMC Tours and met many people from all over North America and enjoyed the sights and sounds of numerous casinos. Cora enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends, more recently the Catholic Women's League and with her friends at the Arms of The Cross, all of whom she considered to be family. Singing with them, dancing with them, but most of all she enjoyed cooking all her favourite dishes and sharing them with loved ones. A celebration of Cora's life (viewing/lamay) will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street with burial and reception to follow at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff on the 6th floor and ICU at St. Boniface Hospital for their exceptional care during Cora's last days. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
