DR. STUART DAVID JOHNSON Dr. Stuart David Johnson born June 1, 1925 died peacefully December 21, 2009 with his son and friends at his bed side. Dr. Johnson was husband to Cornelia Brusse Johnson (deceased 1991) and father of Margaret Anne and Bryan Johnson. A memorial service will be held January 16, 2:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 603 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg. Dr. Johnson founded the Criminology Department of the University of Manitoba and developed its PhD program. He was an outstanding marksman who helped organize many shooting groups and events as well as campaigned for gun owners' rights. He was very active in his community where he also worked diligently on human rights issues. He is survived by his daughter Margaret Anne, son Bryan, and daughter-in-law Christine. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Amnesty International, the Winnipeg Humane Society, or the Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg.
