MARCELLA MARIE HAYWOOD (GAUDRY) July 30, 1937 - January 7, 2010 After a lengthy battle with diabetes, mom passed away at the age of 72 years with her family by her side on Thursday January 7, 2010. Marcella was born in Winnipeg on July 30, 1937. She met her husband Robert Haywood and was married on October 31, 1958 and had four children. Fay (Marv), Robert (Tanya), Danny, Pam. She also leaves to mourn her grandchildren Stephanie, Michael, Amanda, Miranda, Tommy, Megan and Kylie, and her great-grandchildren Kaylynn, Chantal, Marcus and Zander who she had yet to meet and her brothers Andrew and Clem and her sister Rita. She was predeceased by her parents Martha and Alexander Gaudry, her brother Paul and her husband Robert in 2006 Marcella lived in Lorette for the past 40 years where she raised her children. Once her children had gone off to school Marcella went to work, she briefly worked at a sewing factory until she went to work at Salisbury House at Deacon's Corner in 1977 and worked there until she retired in 2001. Marcella took great pride in her children and grandchildren; she always enjoyed spending time with her family. Mom enjoyed going to bingo with her sister Rita, and watching TV, one of her favourite shows was Coronation Street, mom enjoyed visiting with everyone and always had an open door to whoever wanted to visit. We would like to thank that staff and doctors at the St. Boniface ICU and 5E. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Green Acres Funeral Home. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flower donations may be made in Marcella's name to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or Heart and Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
