Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND JASON PETER GUIMOND (BLOSSOM) May 10, 1975 - January 7, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, cousin, and friend after an early morning hunting accident. Jason died doing what he loved best, hunting; he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Jason leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Carmen, his children Jenna, JJ, Destiny and Damon, his stepchildren Cora Lee, Mason, and Mitchell, his grandson Aiden, his mother Leona (Dorian) Bacon, his maternal father Ray Smadella of Alberta, his brothers Dwayne and Robbie, stepbrothers Darren and Trevor Smadella of Alberta and brother Trevor Klatt, his sisters Cheryl Guimond and stepsisters Kayla and Melissa Smadella of Alberta and the mothers of his children who remained friends with him Tanya and Fran. Jason was predeceased by his grandparents Peter and Verna Guimond and Peter Smadella, his uncles Gabe and Chiboy who taught him to hunt and fish, his auntie Bertha, cousins Satch and Trudeau and his stepdad Robert (Conan) Genereaux. Jason was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved bush life. Every time he went and cut wood he always took his gun, and of course always came home with a moose or dear. He also loved to trap. Jason worked in the oilfields in Alberta drilling with power tongs, so there is a little piece of him in Alberta, he also loved doing tattoos and drawing murals. Jay had a great sense of humour, always joking around with all he knew. He was always helping out any way he could. He was an awesome provider for his family. Jay had many best friends who stopped in to visit him daily. Pallbearers will be William Swampy, Randy Bruyere, Adrian Swampy, Gabe Swampy, Dale Swampy, Robbie Genereaux, Rick Bacon, Terri Laliberte, Dave Baker, Punky Guimond and Roger Arsenal. Honourary pallbearers are Carmen, JJ, Destiny, Jenna, Damon, Cora Lee, Mason, Mitchell and Nick Bruyere. Wake service for Jason began early in the morning on Saturday, January 9 at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church in Sagkeeng First Nation.
