Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIVY CONSTANCE LA ROQUE (nee SIMPSON) 1918 - 2010 Peacefully at Vista Park Lodge on Sunday, January 10, 2010, Ivy passed away in her 92nd year with her son by her side. Ivy is survived by her son Larry La Roque (Gary Paul, life partner) of Vancouver, cousin Barbara Hooper of West Vancouver, sisters-in-law Glady (Mike) Borys of Winnipeg, Eileen La Roque of Holland, Manitoba and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father Charlie Simpson and mother Florence Simpson (nee Cottom), her husband Stanley (Rocky) La Roque, son Dale La Roque, sister Elsie Brooking and brother Franklin Simpson. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place this fall in the Bethel Cemetery, Treherne, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. My sisters Gail and Carol and I were so saddened to read of the passing of Ivy. She is so fondly remembered and loved along with your dad. We have often talked about them over the years along with you and Dale. Your mom holds a very special place in our hearts. She was a strong, independent woman.
