BRIAN DAVID KENNETH YACIUK April 17, 1962 - December 30, 2009 It is with love and deep sadness that we say good-bye to our youngest dear brother, son, and father, Brian, who passed away so suddenly. Brian will be welcomed in heaven by his father Joe, his sister Diane, his grandparents, and many other relatives. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Tillie, his sisters Joyce (Peter) Kibsey, Pat Marchuk, Addie (Gord) Sumka, Phyllis Yaciuk, Virginia Gard, Angie (Randy) Tyluk, Veronica (Garry) Kornik, Vicki (Bill) Steele, his brother Jeffrey (Charlene) Yaciuk, and his daughters Summer Dilallo (Shawn) and grandson Riley, and Sandy Dilallo, and godmother Jean Martin. Also 23 nieces and nephews, 24 great-nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives. Brian was the youngest child born to Tillie and Joseph Yaciuk. He grew up on the family farm in Poplarfield, MB, where he helped with machinery, raising cattle, haying, and field work. Brian attended school in Poplarfield and Fisher Branch. At 18, Brian moved to Winnipeg and became a professional meat cutter, learning all the aspects of the business. Later, Brian tried his hand in his own businesses, including his own post hole drilling business where he set a standard of excellence and integrity - a standard he extended to the job he took in the oil industry in Lloydminster, AB. There Brian acquired his Class 1 license, and proudly operated his vac truck with Allstar Oilfield Services. Brian had married Starr Dilallo in 1996 and welcomed his wife's two daughters into his life. While they parted, his relationship with Summer and Sandy continued. Family was the keystone of Brian's life and his fondest memories were those spent with his family, especially his mother, daughters, and grandson. Brian spent his free time at his cabin in Ontario where he loved boating, fishing, and relaxing with family and friends. His cabin was a haven of peace from his hectic working life. Brian was a giving and gentle man whose life was a balance of family traditions and an uncompromising work ethic. His faith was his moral foundation, one he established early in life. Brian loved all things in life, enjoying the gifts along the way and accepting the challenges before him. Your years of hard work are done. Rest well, dear brother. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Fisher Branch, MB with Rev. Father Paul Bisson officiating. Interment will follow at the Hamrlik Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Poplarfield Community Centre following interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. FISHER FUNERAL HOME INC. In care of arrangements. Fisher Branch, MB (204) 372-6271 or 372-6803
