ELLA LOEPPKY 1923 - 2010 With sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our mother and grandmother, Ella Loeppky on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Winnipeg at the age of 86. She leaves to cherish her memory: sons Jerome, Paul (Marie-Anne) and Patrick; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Christopher and Melissa, many nieces, nephews and friends. Ella was predeceased by her beloved husband Ernie in 2007, one son Thomas in 1995, her parents: Caroline and Heinrich Munk, and many brothers and sisters. Ella was born in Grahamdale, MB on June 5, 1923 and later moved to Vernon, BC. She met and married Ernie Loeppky in 1946 and returned to Winnipeg where they raised their four sons. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends; along with a deck of cards, her needlepoint and cooking for her loved ones. She was also very devoted to her faith. Mom will forever be remembered this way in our hearts. Mom, thank you for your true example of love, selflessness, and patience. We miss you and are happy to know, you and Dad are finally reunited. Special thanks to all the staff of Faith Lane in River East Personal Care Home for their kindness and dedication. A prayer service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010, followed by Mass at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Ave., Winnipeg with Monsignor Maurice Comeault and Father Art Seamans officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Ella's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
