Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN PETERS 1922 - 2010 John was born June 24, 1922, two and one half miles north of Winkler to James and Agnes Peters, third of 11 siblings. On July 10, 1950, he married Sadie Hildebrand. John and Sadie moved to Winnipeg in 1950, and to Garson in 1972. On January 12, 2010, shortly after a stroke, John Peters entered the gates of heaven. John was predeceased by an infant son, Johnny Bruce; three brothers, and two grandsons. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sara, five children, Bruce (Elaine), Bryan (Cheryl), Barry (Leasa), Sandra (Darrell), and Dale (Kelly); five brothers, two sisters, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held at Birchwood on Thursday, January 14 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A celebration of John Peters' life will be held 11:00 a.m., January 16, 2010, at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, followed by burial at Green Acres. Donations in John's memory may be made to C.S.S.M. Camps.
