Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN JOAN BAKE March 10, 1921 - December 26, 2009 Doreen passed away peacefully at Fred Douglas Lodge on December 26, 2009. Doreen was predeceased by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Vivienne and Bill McMahon, brother Leslie Bake and sister-in-law Phyllis Bake. Doreen will be lovingly remembered by her brother Alan, sister-in-law Betty, her nieces, nephews and their families. Doreen was born in Preston, England and came to Canada in 1928. She worked as a bookkeeper for numerous businesses in Winnipeg. Doreen loved spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Ginger. She found delight in attending the horse races with her mother and sister, Vivienne. She enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Grand Marais, and later, winters in Florida. Doreen was an active member of the North Centennial Seniors Association. The family would sincerely like to thank the staff of Fred Douglas Lodge for the kind and patient care they provided. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Fred Douglas Lodge, 1275 Burrows Ave., on Saturday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined, however, donations may be made to Fred Douglas Lodge, 1275 Burrows Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
