Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN LOUISE WATSON Jean Louise Watson was born in Strathclair, MB on April 16, 1929, and died on December 30, 2009 at Minnedosa Hospital surrounded by her family. Jean received her schooling in Strathclair, completing her education in Vancouver and Winnipeg. She was a trained stenographer and worked primarily in the office as both stenographer and book keeper. Jean worked in Flin Flon, Montreal and Winnipeg. She retired in 1984, returning to Strathclair where she lived the remainder of her life. Jean gave much of her time to St. Luke's Church, where she served as the Rector's Warden and Lay Reader for many years. As well, Jean shared time in community ventures as President of the Strathclair Community Centre, on the Strathclair Museum Committee, as a director of the Strathclair Ag. Society, and on the Board of Senior Services of Prairie Parkland. Jean belonged to the Order of Eastern Star. She received her 50 year pin in 1999 and her 60 year certificate just recently. Jean is survived by her brother Bill; sisters-in-law, Helen and Darlene, seven nieces and nephews, 17 great-nieces and nephews, three great-great-nieces and one great-great nephew. Rae's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
